Denman Island General Store

The historic Denman Island General Store, established in 1908, is located in ‘downtown’ Denman Island, at the top of the ferry hill. Stock up on everything you need for a week on the Island!

Beyond a great selection of grocery items, it’s also the Post Office, Liquor Store and Gas Station. Supporting the local culture, there is a variety of vegan and gluten-free items stocked, and many Denman Island-made products including fresh baking and pre-made meals and pies.

It’s also a great place to pick up a Visitor Guide Map, the Islands Grapevine newspaper and chat to locals!

General Store owner Daryl McLoughlin, affectionately known as “Grumpy”, has 14 friendly, fun-loving and hard-working staff members to serve you and answer any questions you have!

The General Store supports the local Growers and Producers Alliance by stocking their fresh produce, as well as contributing to many community events and causes.
