Denman New Old Time Chautauqua

The New Old Time Chautauqua is a travelling show rooted in a century-old tradition of community celebration coming to Denman July 29 and 30. The show is coming to several Gulf Islands travelling by boat and bus. The Chautauqua brings a troupe of about sixty talented entertainers with all sorts of skills. The whole idea of the Chautauqua is to bring the community together in celebration, have fun with a parade, a big show, workshops, community feasts, and help with a commununity project. The Chautauqua tailors the event to the community, inviting the particpation of  local talent, business, and community services to create a truly vibrant community experience. And all for free! Based out of Washington State for decades, the Chautauqua is also a celebration of the Salish Sea community embracing Canada and the USA.
