In July, Denman Island highlights include the Readers & Writers Festival, the Art Studio Tour, the Garden of Lilies Art Show, and a variety of live music concerts. July 5: David Gogo Trio

Friday, July 5, 7:00 p.m. at the Denman Island Community Hall, 1169 Northwest Road

Concerts Denman presents the high energy blues rock of the DAVID GOGO BAND. Gogo has performed on stage with the likes of BB King, Johnny Winter and Bo Diddley and has opened shows for ZZ Top, The Tragically Hip, George Thorogood and Robert Cray, among many more. His songs have been covered by a variety of artists, most notably Buddy Guy.

Eat breakfast or lunch while listening to talented buskers then browse over 30 vendors’ stalls.

Things to remember when visiting Denman Island 

  • TIP#1 – ISLAND DRIVING: The Maximum speed limit is 60 km on our rural roads and is reduced in some areas. • Don’t pass • Be courteous – Slow down on gravel roads – the dust reduces visibility and torments the neighbours • Watch for wildlife, horses & children!
  • TIP#2: Check if campfires are permitted at denmanfire.ca
  • TIP#3: Bring cash $. Many home-based studios and businesses do not have interact or credit card capabilities. Access to an ATM only during General Store hours.
